I might be a grown-up but I’ve been waiting for the Zany Zebra trail to come to Southampton for ages! In 2013 we had a great day trotting through the city on a hunt for the Go! Rhino’s, and this year we took a similar route through town on the look out for a zeal of brightly painted zebras.
Here are some of the photos of we took of our lovely sunny day out with Shelley, Jennifer, Tommy & Natalie. One photo even won #Zelfie of the week (scroll down to see). I’ve also popped in a few zebra selfies we took with Ffion a couple if weeks before.

If you want to do the zebra trail yourself, you can download a copy of Zany Zebra Trail or app, or grab a paper copy from locations throughout Southampton, including in the Marlands Shopping Centre.
I’m already looking forward to Marwell’s next trail, I just hope the vandalism cause this year doesn’t jeopardise another event. I’m suggesting a trail of Penguins – what do you think? Let me know in the comments below.

I love the zany zebras! I was in Southampton last week briefly, and saw the zebras in the Marlands but didnt realise there was a trail to follow! I must go back for another look…..
Yes, there are in the region of 150 zebras dotted around town, and also lots at Marwell Zoo, so the trail is great to spot them all (or most, anyway). They certainly brighten up Southampton 🙂
So cool. If you are visiting the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland, there is a town that has a Wildcat trail with painted wildcats strewn across the town of Newtonmore & the scenic surroundings. Some of the wildcats are very difficult to spot 🙂 Trail details: http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/cairngorms/wildcattrail.shtml
